Kavalan Distillery in Yilan: Tickets, Tours and a Cake Café Half-Day
The once-free visit now has a ticket — but you can spend the full amount on tastings or souvenirs.

"Do I have to pay to visit Kavalan now?" Yes. Kavalan Distillery (噶瑪蘭威士忌酒廠) has charged admission since March 1, 2026. It's at No. 326, Sec. 2, Yuanshan Rd., Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, reachable by bus or taxi from central Yilan. 02 · Free Guided Tours: English Daily at 11:00
Ticket first Free guided tours start after you buy a ticket. English runs daily at 11:00, Chinese at 10:00 and 16:00, Japanese at 13:00 and Korean at 14:00 (as of October 2026).
Register online Tours meet at a set time and place, so register with the form at the bottom of the official reservation page. With more than 80 people, the tour may switch to an audio broadcast.
About 60 minutes A company video, the distillery production line, then the paid tasting area and gift shop on the first floor. You can't tour the factory after drinking, so save tastings for afterward.

04 · On the Way Back: A Yilan Cake Café
Back in Yilan city, stop at the cake café 花轟小姐 (Cake.Coffee.Dessert). The Yilan shop is at No. 285, Taishan Rd., and a Jiaoxi branch (No. 225, Sec. 1, Zhongshan Rd., Jiaoxi) opened in October 2026.
Walk-in only No reservations, and everyone 6 and up orders at least one drink.
90 minutes when busy If people are waiting, seating is limited to 90 minutes.
Don't go too late Desserts change daily and the shop closes early when they sell out. Days off are posted on its Facebook and Instagram, so check the current opening hours on Google Maps before you go.
