Taipei Main Station Luggage Storage: How Much per Bag per Day?
Checked out but still hours before your train or flight? You can leave your bags at the station and explore light.

"Do I have to drag my suitcase around all day?" At Taipei Main Station you can leave luggage at the Taiwan Railway (TRA) baggage office (行李房) or use the coin lockers inside the station. Here's how both work, based on TRA's official notices and fee tables (as of October 2026).

TRA's notice (updated October 7, 2026) lists only four stations that have paused temporary storage — Hsinchu, Tianzhong, Ershui and Minxiong. Taipei is not one of them.
02 · How the Baggage Office Charges
Add up three sides The fee depends on length + width + height: NT$30 up to 100 cm, NT$50 for 101–150 cm, NT$70 for 151 cm and up, per bag per day, tax included.
Carry-ons count too A common carry-on size of 55×40×23 cm adds up to 118 cm, which puts it in the NT$50 band.
Round items Round items are measured as diameter × 2 + height; irregular shapes are judged by station staff.
Strollers and bikes Strollers, bicycles and folding wheelchairs are NT$50 each per day.
Longer stays After 10 days the fee doubles from day 11, and the maximum storage period is six months.
03 · Before You Drop Off
Pick-up time TRA's contact table (October 6, 2026 edition) lists Taipei's baggage office hours as 08:00–20:00. If you'll be late, call (02)2314-1223 first.
Items not accepted Dangerous goods and valuables, poorly packed or oversized items, perishable food, items with strong odors, and animals are refused.
Several bags Each bag is charged by its own size, so add the fees for a small bag and a big suitcase separately.
Finding it Show 行李房 to the station information desk and staff will point the way.
Posted notices win The fee table is official, but on-site notices take priority.
04 · Just a Few Hours? Use a Locker
According to TRA's locker notice (updated July 29, 2026), Taipei Station's touchscreen lockers come in seven sizes and cost NT$40–110 per 3 hours. They're available during station hours, and the machine's on-screen rate is what you pay. The same lockers are at 54 stations, including Banqiao and Songshan, so another station can work too.
